Montirius, a 140-acre estate located in the southern Rhône Valley at the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail, has been a Bio-Dynamic vineyard since 1996. This family-run domain, with vine classifications in Vacqueyras, Gigondas, and Côtes du Rhône, has roots tracing back to the mid-20th century. Currently, Eric and Christine Saurel, along with their children Manon, Justine, and Marius, oversee the estate. Montirius is recognized as the first Bio-Dynamic estate in the Southern Rhône Valley. To capture the unique Terroir and character of each plot, they ferment their wines exclusively in unlined concrete vats, allowing the wines to fully express the land's distinct qualities.
